1st january 2009

its 1st january 2009, 2.37 am. Today we (me and some frnds) decided to celebrate our own new years. by own i mean, by not going to a party, bar or pub, unlike 90 % of GFK population. the rest 10 % is kids or oldies that would prefer to stay warm inside in this -40 temperature. But please, this doesnt make us kids or oldies as well. So we rented some dvds from blockbuster and bought groceries in the evening and then just sat and chatted for hours. Then we played one the dvds and had chicken cury with rice. At around quater to midnight, we finally decided to do something active so we went downtown to see the new year fireworks and man, they were amazing. what was more amazing was the enthusiasm among the people, even at his freezing cold. so after that was done, we came back and watched another movie (yeah yeah, we are a bunch of movie freaks who can see any number of movies in a day). And thats how we wrapped up the night and welcomed the new year. It was a quite, fun new year's eve and i wish the coming year will be somewhat similar. And i hope the new year brings happiness and joy in your life too. HAPPY NEW YEAR !!! gudnight.
